Bkool Smart Go Indoor Trainer Thoughts. So you want to start Zwifting and your looking for a value for money smart trainer? Well that’s how I ended up buying the Bkool Smart Go trainer, which was the cheaper of the Bkool Smart trainers. So what is it? It’s a “wheel on” indoor cycling trainer that has electronic “smarts”. So you put your bike on it, hook up the USB sensor to your comp, run some simulator software and ride, ride and ride some more. The electronic smarts will adjust the resistance on the wheel as the simulator goes up a hill etc. brilliant idea and great fun … in a fitness sort of fun. What are the good points? .1. I like that the frame isn't a full A-frame, it has a hinged frame, which means that other size wheeled bikes can use the indoor trainer as well. For example, we have a kids flat bar road bike which has 20" road wheels - so they can set it up on this trainer ok. .2. Smarts - ...
What’s this new technology on the Cannondale Synapse? So Cannondale have released an updated version of their Synapse 'endurance' road bike, particularly the carbon range, and along with this update, they have added some pretty interesting tech. They have also released a naming structure which points out what they come with - RLE. Integrated electronics that Cannondale are calling "SmartSense". RLE stands for Radar, Lights & Electronic Shifting. The range starts with the Synapse Carbon 4 - no integrated tech. This is followed by the Synapse Carbon 3 L which has Shimano 105 groupset and the Intergrated SmartSense Lights. Then there is the Synapse Carbon 2 RL which runs the Ultegra mechanical groupset, with the Integrated rear Radar system and Lights, and then there is the range topping Synapse Carbon 2 RLE which has the Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting, along with the rear Radar System and Lights. Seeing as the Synapse Carbon 2 is the range topping bike, one wo...
MERIDA SCULTURA TEAM 2022 So Merida have released an update to their "light weight" model of road bike - the Scultura. Pictured above is the top spec model - the 2022 Team Edition ( here ). Merida's Reacto model is the aero highspeed bike and the Scultura is more of a climbing lighter weight bike. Personally I think that Merida do a really good job of making their bikes look good. Even at the entry level aluminium models, they have attractive paint jobs and every now and then will also do a 'lower spec' model that has the same or similar livery as the top level Team Edition. Who uses the Scultura? This bike has famously been riden by Vincenzo Nibali who rode for the "Bahrain Merida" team from 2017 through to 2019, with whom he won the Milan-San Remo in 2018, placed 2nd overall in the 2019 Giro and won Stage 20 of the 2019 Tour De France, among other acheivements as well. That gives the Merida Scultura some real credibility as a world class winning bik...
